What challenge/ problem did the client come with?
Our client, suspected that members of the management board of a company he owned were removing assets from the business.
What activities did we propose and carry out?
Our procedures led to the confirmation of those suspicions and the disclosure of the underlying mechanism – the management board members made transactions with short-lived intermediary companies for appropriate margins. Our work provided the client with evidence for the litigation that followed.
How we recovered half of the company's purchase price for the client – business disposal fraud
What challenge/ problem did the client come with?
Our client was defrauded by the people from whom he had bought a business. He was presented with false financial data showing that the company’s revenues and profits were higher than in reality.
What activities did we propose and carry out?
Our work exposed the fraud mechanism (generating non-existent revenue) and highlighted all the places where the data presented to our client was manipulated. Thanks to the evidence we obtained and support in arbitration proceedings, our client recovered half of the purchase price transferred to the sellers.
